I have a couple of disclaimers before viewing my website in its entirety.
First and foremost, disability is not a monolith. I do not claim to speak on behalf of the entire disability community. I can only speak to my experience with my disabilities and how I’ve navigated the world. I encourage you to speak with disabled people across the community with varied experiences, careers/hobbies, and insights.
Second, you may have noticed I use and prefer identity-first language. This means I call myself an Autistic person or a disabled/chronically ill human. Some folks prefer person-first language. For instance, “I am a person with Down syndrome” or “I am a person with hearing loss.” Every person is different, and it’s best practice to ask what language they prefer.
Lastly, my portfolio is not perfect by any means. To my understanding, it is not completely WCAG 2.2 compliant. I have uploaded files and videos, which can be inaccessible to those using screen readers or other assistive technology. I am learning more and more on how to make my website completely accessible for all. I apologize it is not there yet, but I want to make sure you are aware.
